Julie Anne Robinson

PRINCIPAL

Julie Anne Robinson has developed several television series, both in the United States and abroad.  Most recently she kicked off BRIDGERTON for Netflix, once again working with Shondaland where she also developed and produced THE CATCH. She also recently developed NBC comedy series I FEEL BAD with Amy Poehler, and is in development on a new drama with Sky in the UK.   

 

Robinson is a BAFTA and Golden Globe-nominated director. She has directed various network pilots that have gone to series, including THE MIDDLE and SCOUNDRELS  and executive produced SELFIE, HOW TO LIVE WITH YOUR PARENTS, and others. 


Her American television credits include a variety of shows including CASTLE ROCK (Hulu), ON BECOMING A GOD IN CENTRAL FLORIDA (Showtime), I’M DYING UP HERE (Showtime), THE LAST TYCOON (Amazon), MASTERS OF SEX, NURSE JACKIE, BROOKLYN NINE-NINE, SCANDAL, MANHATTAN, ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK, GREY’S ANATOMY, PUSHING DAISIES.

Her British Television credits include the critically-acclaimed, BAFTA, RTE and Golden Globe nominated mini-series, VIVA BLACKPOOL for BBC; as well as the BAFTA-nominated television movie COMING DOWN THE MOUNTAIN.


Robinson also directed the features THE LAST SONG and ONE FOR THE MONEY.  

Kelly Pancho

HEAD OF DEVELOPMENT

Prior to joining CannyLads, Pancho developed scripted projects for Intrigue, an independent production company.  There, she brought in the underlying material for several projects, including the NBC series GAME OF SILENCE and the ABC pilot HAIL MARY.  Notably, she developed DEALERS OF LIGHTNING (eOne/History Channel), THE ELEMENTS (Amblin/UCP/USA), and STORYVILLE (Intuition/Fox).  

 

Before working in development, Pancho oversaw the creative division at Deluxe, where she managed a team of producers, designers, and editors, who were responsible for creating behind-the-scenes, interactive games, graphics, and menus for the home release of titles such as MAD MEN, THE DARK KNIGHT, SAW, STAR TREK, and GLADIATOR.  She was previously a producer of feature and TV behind-the-scenes and began her career in post at DreamWorks.

DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT

Before joining CannyLads, she worked in film and TV production in Chicago and Los Angeles, including series I FEEL BAD (NBC), CHICAGO P.D. (NBC), CHICAGO MED (NBC), CHICAGO FIRE (NBC), SHAMELESS (Showtime), AJ & THE QUEEN (Netflix), SENSE8 (Netflix), THE CHI (Showtime), EASY (Netflix), ANIMAL KINGDOM (TNT), and features OFFICE CHRISTMAS PARTY and CHARLIE'S ANGELS.  She studied at Ball State University, and previously worked as a stage manager.
